Community Involvement

The Aurora Tigers Atom 'A' Team ran a wonderfully successful equipment and apparel drive to support the Kids and Hockey in First Nation Communities. All the players took part in collecting, sorting, packing and shipping an incredible amount of new and gently used equipment and apparel to Rankin Inlet & other fly-in indigenous communities. With literally hundreds of new game jerseys, new game socks, over a hundred hockey sticks, dozens of hockey bags and every other type of equipment and team apparel possible; the players were able to fill a tightly packed sixteen by eight by eight foot covered trailer for this wonderful cause. The picture shown only captures a fraction of the items collected and the memories, friendships and happiness that these items will create going forward are truly amazing! The Aurora Tigers Atom 'A' Team also collected a wagon of Christmas stockings for Adults and Children, in their local community, that require assistance throughout the year... especially at Christmas time. Additional stockings were also donated to help families, that needed assistance, in the wider Regional area surrounding Aurora. Go Tigers!
