The West Niagara Flying Aces have been busy!! In October the team distributed flyers and collected food in support of the Grimsby Benevolent Fund. The GBF is a local organization that provides assistance to members of our community to meet their basic needs and to achieve self-sufficiency. In November the team supported two initiatives. They wore blue ties, skate laces and hockey tape to raise awareness for Type 1 diabetes in support of a teammate. The Flying Aces also partnered with the Village of Hope in Jordan. The Village of Hope is a non-profit organization that provides clothing, food and advocacy for community members in need. While at Village of Hope the team sorted food from a local food drive, organized the pantries, cleaned up around the property and decorated for Christmas. We are very proud of the work the players have done in the community and look forward to doing many more events this year.
Winners will be announced Mar. 2020
